How to Borrow

Please call, fax or email with book title and author, and your address and telephone number. At this time, due to our limited book inventory, only one book may be loaned at a time. Upon receipt of your request, the book will be mailed out to you in a jiffy bag, using FAVAN funds. When returning the book, please use a jiffy bag to protect book. You will not be reimbursed for return postage. If you would like to pick the book up at the below address, you may do so at a convenient time for both borrower and librarian. Please call ahead to make arrangements. The book may also be returned to the below address rather than posted within the expected time frame, if that is convenient for the borrower.

Lending Period

3 weeks for books. 2 weeks for a video. A one-week extension will be granted on books unless there is a waiting list for a particular book. A fine of $0,50 per book per day will be charged for every late day thereafter. To facilitate accurate timing when returning books, a date of expected return will be included with each book sent out. The borrower should then estimate approximate delivery time when returning book (usually 3 days).

Cost

No fee except for late returns. If a book is lost, the borrower will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the book. Fines for overdue books will be deposited in the FAVAN account to be used for postage costs to run the library, printing the newsletter and FAVAN brochures.

Please Note

Many books are the personal property of several FAVAN members. Please use books with care, use a bookmark and do not write notes in the books.
