Upcoming Meetings

Please note the schedule change for our October Meeting. 

The October meeting will be October 19 and will be a special joint meeting of FAVAN and the Northwest Connecticut Support Group. It will be held at FOCUS in Canton. Note that this is on a Thursday night. Donna Swanson, Executive Director of FOCUS will be the speaker.  Please RSVP to Lee at 860-589-0097.

Conferences

While we haven't had a chance to put all the currently scheduled conferences on the FAVAN site.  Be sure to check out the offerings from CT-SERC at http://www.ctserc.org/calendar/.

Announcements

Dr. Dumont-Mathieu is conducting a research project on parent's experience of the process leading to their child's diagnosis of an ASD.  She is looking for families with a child diagnosed in the past two years.  Participation will consist of interviews in locations convenient for the families.  Please contact Cr. Dumont-Mathieu at 860-545-8944 if you are willing to share your experiences.

The CT-ASRC is holding a workshop on Safety Issues on December 2.
