Upcoming Meetings

Beginning January 30th we will be meeting at the Farmington Senior/Community Center, 321 New Britain Ave, Unionville in Farmington. We will continue to meet the last Tuesday in the month unless noted on the calendar. Please check the website regularly to see meeting times and other information.

January's meeting is an open discussion meeting for parents and family members.

Dr. James Loomis will be presenting Assessment and Treatment of Challenging Behavior in Children with Autism at the March Meeting.

Beth Katten and Erica Giunta will present an Update on Autism Research sponsored by Autism Speaks at the April meeting.

Membership

We are now collecting dues for 2007. We will continue to ask for a $20 contribution per family per year. This helps pay for refreshments, gifts for speakers, and new books for the lending library.  The membership form is available on the website.

Conferences

Community Autism Resources is holding their Annual ASD Symposium in Providence on March 9-10.  Information on this and other conferences is available on the Conferences pages of the web site.

Announcements

Tony Atwood recently published "The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome".  The book is available for purchase on-line, at bookstores or direct from Jessica Kingsley Publishers.

Miscellaneous

We're working through the backlog of email from the past month or so during which we've been overwhelmed with thousands of email spam messages.  We're now filtering the spam and will catch up on any outstanding requests.
