Upcoming Meetings

Dr. James Loomis will be presenting Assessment and Treatment of Challenging Behavior in Children with Autism at the March Meeting.  This month's meeting is on a Wednesday March 28.  Please call or email to RSVP if you will attend.

Conferences

The Autism Society of Connecticut hosts their Annual State Conference on Saturday April 28.  Speakers include Paula Kluth and Dr. Liane Holliday Willey.

Announcements

There are two autism related bills in the CT Legislature.  House Bill 7280 requires the Department of Social Services to pursue Medicaid funding for support services for adults who have autism spectrum disorders.  The bill was favorably voted out of the Joint Committee on Human Services this month.   House Bill 7144 proposes establishing A Board Of Education And Services For Citizens With Autism Spectrum Disorders.   The bill currently sits with the Joint Committee on Government Administration and Elections.
