Fall Meeting Schedule

The Fall meeting schedule has been posted on the FAVAN website on the meetings page.  The schedule remains the same with meetings held on the last Tuesday of the month at 7 pm.  

Other Upcoming Events

We've begun updating the conference page with lectures, seminars and conferences in the area.  We're still getting information on upcoming events and expect to be adding quite a few more to the schedule over the next month or so.

Other Area Activities

The Connecticut Autism Spectrum Resource Center has added a Media Center with software applications for teaching driving skills and recognizing non-verbal cues in recognizing emotion in others.

Chapel Haven Abilis, a transition to independent living day program for young adults with autism and related disorders, is scheduled to open in January 2010 on the UConn/Stamford campus. The program is currently accepting applications.

The Mandell Jewish Community Center is running a 6 week play group for children with special needs, ages 3 and 4.  Contact the JCC at 231-6300 for more information.
